About Autoworks in Benfleet & Southend

Established back in 1973 in Benfleet, under the name of Colbert’s, the business has gone through many changes over the years. Now rebranded as Autoworks Service & Repair Specialists, we are one of the best-known and most respected independent garage businesses in the whole of the Benfleet & Southend areas.

Autoworks are dedicated to offering the high quality and standards you would expect to find at the main dealer, and offering them at much lower prices. We always strive to maintain an honest, friendly, and straightforward approach to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience.

We have two locations, in Benfleet & Southend, also covering Hadleigh, Rayleigh, Westcliff, and Leigh-on-Sea. Our workshops are fully fitted with advanced equipment and specialist tools capable of offering a comprehensive range of repairs, maintenance and vehicle servicing. We are experts in vehicle diagnostics, auto electrics, DPF diagnostics and cleaning, and air conditioning – including van refrigeration. And, our 3D camera super aligner machine gives us the ultimate in wheel alignment capabilities.

Autoworks are well known for exacting standards of servicing, repairs and maintenance on most makes and models of cars, motorhomes, and vans (up to 3.5t) – including electric and hybrid – and can carry out Class 4 MOT testing at the Benfleet garage, or arrange MOTs in Southend.

Our experienced team of technicians are amongst the most highly qualified in the country, and this includes IMI Level 3 for electric and hybrid vehicles. Constant training means we are able to compete at the very highest level for technical expertise so you can rest assured your vehicle is always in safe hands at Autoworks.

We use only leading brand parts and lubricants, and most of our work is guaranteed for 2 years or 24,000 miles (whichever occurs first), an exceptional feature in our industry which demonstrates our confidence in the workmanship at Autoworks.

Our Benfleet garage has plenty of customer parking, while our Southend workshop is within walking distance of Westcliff train station. Autoworks can also provide courtesy cars, and local collection and delivery services (subject to availability), and both locations have waiting areas with TVs, refreshments and free Wi-Fi.
